OTP banka donates additional HRK 1.4 million to hospitals nationwide
OTP banka d.d. donated additional HRK 1.4 million to hospitals across Croatia to help them face the emergency measures in the fight against Covid-19 virus.
By donating HRK 200 thousand to the general hospitals in Zadar, Šibenik, Split, Dubrovnik, Osijek, Sisak and Pula, we are trying to help them obtain the necessary equipment and supplies.
The mentioned hospitals will use the proceeds to purchase ventilators, protective equipment, beds and other items that are currently essential and urgently needed for their commendable work on protecting of the health of all of us.
“Wishing to ease the extreme burden borne by our healthcare workers at present, we have decided to continue giving donations to hospitals nationwide. We feel the need to help our fellow citizens in the communities we work and live in. This is the least we can do to show our gratitude and, once again, show that we stand united in these difficult times”, said Balázs Békeffy, president of the Board of OTP banka d.d.
The concerned directors of the general hospitals thanked OTP banka on the donations, pointing out their appreciation of OTP banka’s support, humanitarian spirit and partnership in the efforts to achieve our common mission – to protect the health of us all.
Immediately after the earthquake hit Zagreb, OTP banka made donations totalling HRK 1.5 million to the Zagreb Clinical Hospital and the Sisters of Mercy Clinical Hospital, wishing to help repair the damage and make the premises fit for their work as soon as possible.
