Support for “Iktus“ Rowing Club

“Iktus” Rowing Club has been successful for almost half a century; it began operating in 1967 as “Osijek” RC, and changed the name to “Iktus” RC in 1972. Inheriting the rowing tradition that reaches back to 1892 in Osijek, in the past several years the club achieved its best results so far.

Increasing number of youth enrolls into the clubs rowing school each year, so the club wants to secure the best training conditions to young rowers by expanding and refurbishing the club HQ, securing a large enough space for boats, changing rooms and winter training spaces.

“Iktus” won support on OTP banka donation tender for their work with young categories of rowers, development of this sport through trainings and competitions, which has been justified by their results on 2016 Croatian Championship. The club finished the season with nine gold, four silver and a bronze medal. In categories Cadets A and Juniors B “Iktus” RC was the best in Croatia, as well as third best club overall on national level.
