OTP banka donated 500,000 kuna to students of poorer social status

As a part of a project „Green light for knowledge“ OTP banka continues to provide scholarships for students of poorer social status in 2016. Within last six years the bank invested in this project over three and a half milion kuna.

In academic year 2015/2016, OTP banka will donate 500,000 kuna to 84 students of poorer social background from Zadar, Sisak, Benkovac, Župa dubrovačka, Nuštar, Jakšić and Kneževi Vinogradi. The scholarships are provided based on a tender and criteria of material and social status and general school success. This scholarship program is conducted in partnership with local authorities and self-government meaning that the bank joins their existing programs of providing scholarships for this year as a partner.

For six years in a row OTP banka has been providing students with low incomes schoolarships as a part of its „Green Light for Knowledge“  program in cooperation with local authorities and self-governments. Through this program, the bank invested more than three and a half milion kuna for schoolarships and other donations for creating better educational conditions.

As a part of the same project, OTP bank donated 50,000 kuna to dr. Ivan Novak Foundation funded by the City of Čakovec with the purpose of supporting students taking part on national and international competitions and knowledge Olympics. The Foundation is named after one the most famous people from Međimurje who helped in educating poorer fellow citizens.
